I am emailing regarding the service that I received from Sam Goolab in the service department of your Maple Ridge location. I brought in my Mazda protege for servicing on Thursday Nov.13. I only purchased this car six months ago so it is still new to me so am getting used to how it supposed to sound & feel when it running smoothly. I called the old dealership where it's owners had it serviced to find out that it was overdue for it's 96,000 servicing and that it would cost around $800. Sam had called to confirm the estimate with me to verfity that I wanted them to go ahead with the servicing which I did of course it turns out I needed a couple of new belts and a new water pump, (yikes this is starting to get pretty expensive) but go ahead being that it's already there and cheaper to do now then have to bring it in again later. Realizing the $1200 dollars that it was now going to cost me he took some upon himself and gave me a 10% discount, kudos to him and what a nice surprise as I've never had my car in for serving and have them actually offer me a discount for repairs and gave me a new umbrella. Very well received and will now help to cover my alignment that they ran out of time to do. His communication is great and he's a pleasure to deal with. thanks for making my experience & cost a pleasant one Sam! Nice surprise.

I am writing to you to express my thanks and gratitude for the exceptional service and integrity shown by your staff in the automotive service department. I brought my 1993 Mazda. MX3 in to inspect the brakes as I had noticed that the rear set had begun to produce smoke. My car had a complete set of brake work completed by another Mazda dealer not 8 months prior at a cost in excess of $800.00 -- with only about 7,000 km of driving being done with the vehicle the brakes should not have failed. Based on the inspection completed by your service staff, it was identified that the calipers had seized on destroying my rear pads and rotors.
Your staff was very helpful in providing the information necessary for me to discuss the issue with the other Mazda dealer, even offering to speak with them to help me work out the situation. I was even more impressed with your dedication to the Mazda name and your customer service when upon the other Mazda dealer refusing to honor their warranty, your service staff offered to do this in place.
As a customer, the most important thing is to know that the job was done correctly the first time and for a fair price. Your service team and dealership has clearly shown this through the assistance and help they have provided me during this situation. The dedication on, commitment to quality, fairness and belief in the Mazda product shown by your service team is a strongly compelling reason why I will return to West Coast Mazda for my vehicle repairs and future vehicle purchases. Since my first service visit, I've been continually impressed by Jose's ability to make me feel I'm the most important person in the room, no matter how minor my service appointment or seemingly small my problem. Not only does he listen attentively, but he also acts on my behalf in a timely and efficient manner. Ever if I'm not dealing directly with Jose, he is nearby and always seems to know exactly what's happening at any given time. He is definitely the "go-to" guy in your service department!
To be fair, all your service technicians do a wonderful job - I'm very happy with the service I've received do date - but Jose puts a face on the experience. I work in the customer service field and, as such , I readily recognize & truly appreciate Jose's continuous efforts on my behalf. I rarely need to express concern over any aspect of my service visit as he usually anticipates what I expect.

I would like to express my thanks for the excellent service provided by your technicians on my 2994 Mazda 6 at West Coast Mazda in Port Moody.
As I related to you earlier this month, I had noticed a wet patch underneath the front passenger foot well carpet in October of last year. I took it to my local Mazda dealership where I purchased the car, and after doing a spray test to no avail they informed me that I had probably spilled a water bottle. I dried out the carpet and monitored the situation. The problem returned twice; I took the car I both times and they told me first it was a clogged A/C drain, and a clogged sunroof drain and most recently – after calling in an “excellent leak guy” – said it was a water heater intake seal. After this third time the problem was worse than ever and I decided to change dealerships in the hope that someone might be able to actually fix the problem.
The leak was in the air conditioning collection drain system, which your mechanics diagnosed and which now is solved.
Thank you once again for the thorough and courteous service, which you provided. It is most appreciated!

I just wanted to express my thank you to James in the Service Department. Yesterday, I spoke to him over the phone explaining a problem with my BMW which I thought was needing more oil. James said I could bring it by the shop, this I did. He came out to my car and said that it was actually the engine light that was on. I came into the Service Department and called the BMW dealership who advised me to have the car towed in which I did. I sat in your parking lot for an hour waiting for the tow truck and also made a few phone calls from the Service Department. James was very professional and helpful, you are very fortunate to have people on staff like James.
